Michael Thompson Band - Give love a chance, taken off " How Long " in 1989, his first solo album. Guitarist Michael Thompson is well known for his work with the likes of Cher, Betty Wright, Andy Fraser ( Free ) and Dan Hartman, amongst others. He recorded this great album with vocalist Moon Calhoun of Leon Russell fame, together with a number of well known musicians, namely Pat Torpey ( Mr. Big ) and Terry Bozzio ( Jeff Beck, etc ) on drums and John Elefante ( Kansas ) and Bobby Kimball ( Toto ) on vocals. Thompson's name has also recently been spotted on a number of other people's albums. As can be ascertained by the pedigree of the musicians, the quality of the songwriting and musicianship on the album is superb.
