Kin Ping Meh were a Manheim based German band, formed in 1971 by a bunch of amateur and pop musicians who, as the story goes, never actually formulated a style of their own until they were joined by ex-Beggar's Opera and Twenty Sixty Six & Then vocalist Geff Harrison for their fourth album, "Virtues and Sins", in 1974. Their best material, however, is to be found on earlier albums like this one. They released six albums between 1972 and 1977. Drummer Charlie Weber unsuccessfully tried to reform the band in the late seventies.
