Eric Burdon/ Brian Auger Band - Don't let me be Misunderstood, taken from their incredible "Access all Areas Live" album, released in 1993. This stunning double live album was recorded at the "Belly up Tavern" in Solana Beach, California in the US on May 10th, 1993. Both Eric Burdon and Brian Auger are seriously seasoned musicians who've been around since the sixties. Burdon, of course, is well known for his work with The Animals and with US Funk rockers War. His solo repertoire is also quite extensive. Brian Auger is acclaimed as one of the world's finest keyboard players and one of our all-time favourites who we've featured many times on The Dinosaur Days. His Oblivion Express days are legendary. He also recently released a brand new album, featuring his daughter and his son (refer our new releases section, about three months ago, for details of this great album). Burdon and Auger are joined by Dave Meros on bass (you may recognize him as the bassist with progsters Spock's Beard), talented guitarist Larry Wilkins, Richard Regueira on percussion and Auger's son, Karma, on drums. This album, released on SPV Records, is essential listening for anybody into great vocals, keyboards and songs, many of which you'll recognize from the early days of War and The Animals. It's also an excellent recording for a live album. The young musicians that Burdon and Auger have chosen here are of the highest order. Burdon recently released a new DVD under the name of Eric Burdon and The New Animals, also with a few Spock's Beard members.
